At the end of November 2021, SageZander completed 15 years of trading. What a journey through financial crashes, COVID and plenty of other unexpected events!
We want to thank all our partners for their support over 15 years and we hope many more years to come.
Without customers we are nothing. Some started with us 15 years ago and others joined us on our journey. Suppliers are the same, we are lucky to have stable, long-term, and serious partners that do their best to give good service.
We are blessed with staff that work tirelessly to keep our partners satisfied, and with various service companies that help us, be it with IT or financial services, so that we can focus our attention on our customers.
Most of all it’s the people within all our businesses that matter. It’s people that make things happen and follow through with their commitments.
Some facts about us:
- The first thing we sold after starting in 2006 was some bamboo and some soya bean staple fibres and we haven’t sold any of either since then! This is, however, an early sign of our ongoing adaptability; from the bamboo and soya bean stable fibres, we have branched out to products including polyesters, nylons, aramids like Kevlar®, carbon fibre, and more.
- In 2006 we were still (occasionally) sending faxes! In the first 2-3 years, we were even re-filling print cartridges ourselves by hand to keep costs down while we established ourselves.
- In 2014 we moved to Congleton’s West Street, our home for the last seven years.
- In 2019 we opened Zanderire Ltd, our EU office, a sign of our enduring commitment to our EU clients.
We have well developed links to well in excess of 2,000 businesses of all different shapes and sizes, covering all sorts of textile, composite, and other processes. Manufacturing in Europe is definitely not dead! There are even signs that it is coming back.
Finally, if we were to try to work out the length of all the yarn we had sold over the years, and if we were then to work out how many times it would reach the moon, it would mean that we have nothing better to do! Let’s look forward, not back, as together we write the next 15 years of SageZander.
